Transport In Animals
Heart- Pumps blood so that it can circulate around the body.
Artery- Carries blood away from the the heart.
Veins- Carries blood towards the heart.
Capillary- Tiny blood vessels. Only one-cell thick, hence enables the exchange of water, oxygen, carbon dioxide, and many other nutrient and waste chemical substances between blood and surrounding tissues.
How Root Hairs Absorb Water
Root Hairs absorb water by
-Osmosis
The soil has a higher water concentration than that in the root hair. Hence, water will move in from the soil to the root hair by osmosis.

How Root Hair Absorb Minerals
Root Hairs absorb minerals by
Diffusion
-Occurs when the concentration of mineral salts is higher than that in root hair.
Active Transport
-Occurs when the concentration of mineral salts is lower than that in root hair.
-Requires Energy
