Transport In Animals

Heart- Pumps blood so that it can circulate around the body.
Artery- Carries blood away from the the heart.
Veins- Carries blood towards the heart.
Capillary- Tiny blood vessels. Only one-cell thick, hence enables the exchange of water, oxygen, carbon dioxide, and many other nutrient and waste chemical substances between blood and surrounding tissues.

Xylem- Transport water and dissolved minerals from the root to the leaves.Found in Vascular plants.

Phloem- Transport sugar made in leaves by photosynthesis to other parts of the plants.

Leaf- Carbon dioxide diffuses into the leaf while oxygen diffuses out of the leaf through stomata during photosynthesis.
